Full-size vs. Compact Temporary Tires

There are many differences between a compact and a full-size tire. However, the biggest difference is how they are intended to be used. A compact tire is not meant to be driven on the highway or meant to be driven for extended periods of time. Instead, it is designed to be used to drive right to a service center.

A full-size tire allows the car to be driven at high speed and on most roads. If your vehicle currently comes with a compact temporary spare tire, feel free to replace it with a fifth traditional tire. This may limit any delays caused by a flat or damaged tire in the future.

At Birchwood Lexus, it is important that you have a safe car or SUV to drive. Therefore, we offer tire repair and replacement services to help you avoid problems while operating your motor vehicle.
